1. University - Graduate Degree. I completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science at UOW. Throughout my subjects and learning experience I do not recall any reference to indigenous perspectives.

2. Post-graduate - Masters in Secondary Education - Science. This coursework has made me critically aware of how I have forgotten who's land I am on. It has bought to the forefront the importance of Indigenous knowledge & perspectives.

3. Primary School: I attended a rural Catholic school in NSW. From memory, I don't recall learning too much about Indigenous knowledge and perspectives.. the odd history of European colonisation. I do remember learning about the 'Stolen Generations', 'Assimilation', 'White Australia', and the term Terra Nullius. But to be honest I don't think I took too much interest in it & didn't understand or appreciate Indigenous perspectives and their history.

4. High School: I attended a Catholic College in rural NSW. There was a higher focus on Indigenous history particularly in history subjects.

4.1. Understanding of MOST of the policies and regulations that existed between the Australian Government and Indigenous peoples.

4.1.1. Dispossession from land

4.1.2. Assimilation Policy

4.1.3. White Australia Policy

4.1.4. The Stolen Generations

4.1.5. Self-determination policy

4.1.6. Reconciliation

4.1.7. The Right to Vote

4.2. The inextricable link Aboriginal peoples have to their land.
