Three teachers - MALET grad students end of semester project planning on how to digitally involve parents with their child's schoolwork, progress and accomplishments.
1.1. Making it easy and appealing for parents to be involved through teachers sharing guidelines and resources via the school’s google classroom parent class.
1.2. Using various computing platforms such as videos, slides, step-by-step procedures to participate as an avatar in a VR setting and interacting on the Social media networks - Instagram and Facebook.
1.3. We - teachers - are connecting parents to our school’s website and engaging them.

2.1. Digital written communications such as shared Google docs, slides etc.
2.2. Digital oral communications such as Zoom, VR Marian Island meetings etc.
2.3. Practical work as mockup examples include Team B google classroom and MALET webpages

4. 1. Objectives
4.1. Parents will know how to use google classroom as a student and also how to observe their child's google classrooms.
4.2. Parents will be able to engage in their child’s schoolwork and progress.
4.3. Parents will be able to share, communicate their concerns and receive daily guidance.
4.4. Parents will know how to interact within the school’s VR environment.
5. 2. Audience
5.1. The audience will be all legal guardians and/or parents of students attending our school as parental involvement refers to the participation of parents in regular and meaningful communication involving their children's learning school activities.
6. 3. Strategy
6.1. Synchronous : Teachers & Parents Zoom meeting for guidance into parent google classroom. Teachers evaluate parents progress through a google form (asynchronous) activity via parents google class and have follow-ups with each parent
6.2. Asynchronous : Various assignments for the parents' class in preparation for VR Marian Island synchronous meeting - social event. During the meeting teachers will conduct oral assessments to determine parents level of understanding and follow-up with a post-meeting evaluative form that will determine how to further guide or assist parents.
