1. Reasons For Changing
1.1. He lost 40 pounds.
1.2. He will be getting his tenure soon.
1.3. He has reached a new point in life and has to let it show in the way he carries himself.
1.4. To look more like the other professors, who already have there tenure.
1.5. He doesn't want to dress his students, he wants wants the students to dress like adults.
2. Where he got some of his fashion tips!
2.1. He read a lot of books on fashion and style some articles and he watch fashion shows with his wife.
2.2. Some of them were literally to gay,
2.3. Some of them were to condescending but
2.4. ."The metro-sexual guide to style "was perfect for a straight guy cause it was written for straight men by a straight man
3. How Changing his style effected his students.
3.1. They dressed more professionally
3.2. They worked harder
3.3. No more pajama pants, bed shorts, and bed heads
3.4. They talk to him more appropriately.
3.5. They were more open and honest with him when the say him in a non formal situation.
4. How Changing His Style affected him
4.1. He expected more out of his students
4.2. He graded more and gave harder assignments
4.3. He wanted more out of life.
4.4. He just had an all around higher standard of living.
5. Being Overdressed
5.1. At one point he dressed formal for everything
5.2. He sometimes looked like an administer
5.2.1. Students would open doors for him
5.2.2. I think he liked it , it probably made him fell like he had a little more power.
5.3. He felt embarrassed when he was more formally dressed than whoever in charge of meeting or events
5.3.1. His provost commented on in a administrative meeting in front of everybody.
6. How and Why Used To Dress the way he did.
6.1. Basically he just shops whenever he sees something he thinks he needs
6.1.1. He bought shoes when he went grocery shopping
6.2. He's Country
6.2.1. He Shops at L.L.Bean and Tractor Supermarket, he obviously grew up in the country and could where boots and a flannel shirt everyday
6.3. Hes' Generation
6.3.1. There was a lot terrible fashion trends ass he was growing up
6.3.1.1. Spicky hair/ Mullets/ Parachute pants
6.4. He's a professor of the humanities
6.4.1. Hes' colleagues believe that fashion or putting time into it is unimportant, trivial, and for the privileged.
