1. Morphology is essentially the building blocks of words. A morpheme is the smallest unit of meaning in a word.
2. Semantics and Pragmatics Semantics and Pragmatics are what give language its meaning and sense. The study of meaning is called semiotics, while pragmatics is what makes our language makes sense. Semantics and pragmatics guide our sentences in our everyday conversations.
3. syntax:Syntax refers to sentence structure. It is basically how words are arranged in a sentence and how a writer has created a pattern with the words. Syntax shows a writer's style by showing how he creates patterns of words.
4. Phonology is the sounds of language. Humans use different sounds combined together to make words and communicate
