1. Does Teaching Science Matter?

1.1. STEM-Need more emphasis in schools.

1.1.1. Most of today's students are not interested in Science courses. As a teacher, it is our job to find interesting ways to do research with students in the classroom.

1.1.2. Science is an endless field. Not everything about the human body, for example, HIV/AIDS has been explored to the furthest extent. As biology teachers, we must promote the learning of science to better the human race.

2. Career Concerns

2.1. How replaceable am I? Education is a very popular field for people right out of college, so is job security or opportunity and growth within the field a variable to consider when choosing this career.

2.2. Science and Math teachers are being paid more, but is that still enough. When choosing a career, it is scary to think about taking your skills and knowledge and putting them into the public school system instead of a research lab, for instance.

3. Will I be good at teaching. What happens if I don't love it?

5. Almost all students in High School must take basic Biology to receive a diploma.

6. NO passionate students

6.1. Rules and Guidelines implemented by school administration restrict hands on learning. Also, higher levels of applying yourself and thinking outside of the box are used in science. For example, using the Scientific Method can intimidate students and cause a dislike for the subject.
