Define the Problem I found a wallet with money in it in the school grounds. 저자: Mind Map: Define the Problem I found a wallet with money in it in the school grounds.

1. Explore the Alternatives • Bringing the wallet to one of the teachers (being honest) • Taking the wallet for myself • Taking the money out of the wallet and giving the empty wallet to the teacher • Trying to find the owner of the wallet on my own • Giving the wallet to a friend who knows the owner of the wallet • Leaving the wallet where it is • Putting it in the lost and found box • Throwing it away

1.1. Consider the Consequences • The teacher rewarding me for being honest and helping the owner find their wallet • Spending all the money on what I want to spend on without getting caught • Somebody finding out that I have stolen a wallet and getting into trouble • The teacher finding out that I had taken the money of of the wallet and getting suspended • Eventually not being able to find the owner of the wallet • The friend not giving the wallet to the money and keeping it for themselves • The friend giving the wallet to the owner • Somebody else finding the wallet • Someone else (not the owner) taking the wallet from the lost and found • Somebody taking it out from the trash bin and keeping it

1.1.1. Identify Your Values Our family motto is 'be humble and honest'. If I choose to keep the money for myself or not give the wallet to its owner, it would not be being honest. Also, if I leave the wallet where it is or give it to a friend, it would not be responsible. Responsibility is one of the main things that my parents have taught me, so I would have to be responsible and choose the best action to alternative.

1.1.1.1. Decide and Act The best choice out of all the alternatives listed, following our family's beliefs, would be picking the wallet up and giving it to a teacher. I would walk up to the nearest teacher and tell them my name and class and that I found this wallet on the floor.

1.1.1.1.1. Evaluate the Results Since I have chosen the right thing to do, I would have been rewarded by the teacher by being honest and now have a good reputation among teachers. By giving the found wallet to the teacher, the owner could get their wallet back and thank me for helping them find it. I would also feel good and proud of myself for being honest and responsible. If this happened to me again I would do the exact same thing.
