1.2.1.1. Help cultivate the natural curiosity but also shape and guide what a student is to learn.

1.3.1. To Engage in Curiosity and Interests

1.3.1.1. Use their own interests and curiosity to define the curriculum that they will follow.

2. What I will be Teaching

2.1. Physics

2.2.1. 1. Become self directed learners

2.2.2. 2. Be able to set goals for their own learning pedagogy

2.2.3. 3. Understand out-of-the-box thinking

2.2.4. A new way of helping students explore their curiosity

3. Who I Will be Teaching

3.1. High School Science Students

3.2. Why Teach High School Students?

3.2.1. Students at this age are grasping their real world interests. Physics is a subject which can help guide students to a future in science but also help them discover a new way of thinking about problem solving to be used in all fields for the rest of their lives.

3.3. Beliefs About Student Learning

3.3.1. 1. Students learn best when they are interested

3.3.2. 2. No one knows better what needs to be taught, then the student who doesn't know what they need to learn

3.3.3. 3. The student will learn if the material is guided through their interests and material is formed around their qustions

4. How I will Teach

4.1. Curriculum

4.1.1. The California Science Standards will be the bases for my curriculum

4.2. Strategies

4.2.1. Assisted inquiry, lessons, presentations, labs, group work, individual growth sessions, projects (both inside and outside of the classroom), self directed work.

4.3. Assesment

4.3.1. Observed learning growth, individual and group projects to measure amount learned, tests or quizzes for standard measure of growth, graded homework for continual feedback on knowledge advancement.
