1. Hopeful

1.1. Even though many rumors have been spread about Esther, including by her own mother, she still refused to believe them to be true.

1.2. Although she knew that Mr. Chilume was a fake, she was still optimistic about her mother getting better because of him.

1.3. She repeats to herself that god exists, and that he does everything for a reason, despite all the misery it has caused her.

2. Loyal

2.1. She always took Esther's side when rumors were spread about her hooking, even when they were greatly outnumbered.

2.2. When she caught Jonah drunk and cheating in public, she took matters into her own hands to scold/insult him.

2.3. She agreed with Esther that even if she had AIDS, they'd still be friends despite the harsh stigma associated with it.

3. Perceptive

3.1. When her mother told her that their savings had been stolen and they couldn't afford the funeral, she didn't panic, and easily saw through that Jonah was the one who'd taken it.

3.2. She was one of the few who'd noticed that Mr. Chilume's "degrees" were fake.

3.3. She saw through the real reason Esther didn't want her to visit her place, and her lies, to find that Esther had been hooking.

4. Determined

4.1. She was determined to get to the bottom of why they didn't return to Tiro, even when it was clear her mother wasn't comfortable with it.

4.2. She was determined to find Esther after their argument at the cemetery, worried that something had happened to her, and went through the trouble of breaking a promise she made.

4.3. She tried very hard to prevent Esther from hooking, which can be shown when they meet after Chanda finds her at Sir Cecil Rhodes Commemorative Garden, resulting in argument.
