3.1. Each week a student will present headlines from popular newspapers in multiple countries or choose to focus on media in one country and lead a class discussion on current events.

4. Who

4.1. Rotation of all students in the classroom. The teacher will assist by providing resources.

5. Many ELL students have anxiety about speaking in front of the class, and this activity provides a comfortable and casual opportunity for them to practice presenting in the classroom. Students can choose to focus on a specific country and teach their classmates about media in that country, which gives them the opportunity to share something about the country they are from. The activity also promotes awareness of what is going on around the world for all students.
