Ways to reach students about work based learning :)

1.1.1. Could develop a promotional video about the Year in Industry and circulate in periods when people usually drop out - with an emphasis on the end career goal

1.2.1. feature students who have been on a year in industry, images of them on placement with a caption from them stating their experience - can be adapted from a case study

1.3.1. host a Q and A about placements and year in industry to drum up interest

1.4. The Student room

1.4.1. promote the student room more widely and market it as a support network for students away from UEA on placement

2.1. Focus on careers + end goals

2.2. circulate in periods of drop outs

2.3. target second year students finding it difficult to find a placement

2.4. highlight the benefits of a year in industry and the support that careers are offering

3. Flyer/Resource

3.1. advertise drop ins and support for students, also explain the SCI YII and the benefits.

3.2. target students who are finding it difficult to find a placement so in second year

3.3. highlight the support that UEA can offer and the advantage a year in industry gives you when you graduate.

4.1. hub to direct students to with flyer

4.2. put all the practical information they could need here, students will not generally pick up the phone to find more information.

5. How to talk about work related learning on different channels.

5.1. Focus on an end goal, like the benefit of securing a graduate job quickly after graduation.

5.2. use case studies on all platforms

5.2.1. Have students talk about what they wish they'd done - did they wish they had got more work experience? - dont be like them - opt into a YII
