1.1. Wear appropriate PPE (i.e. Scrubs, closed-toe shoes, gloves if necessary) when operating in the laboratory

1.2. Do not leave centrifuge until full operating speed is reached and appears to be running safely without incident

1.3. Keep the animal steady when the Doctor draws blood. Animals could potentially bite and cause injury

1.4. Dispose of the needle used in drawing the blood

4.2. Place plasma sample into reagent disc and input both the disc and related patient information into blood analyzer

4.3. Deposit red blood cell sample and buffer into heartworm tester and check for test result
