7.1. The Parthenon
7.1.1. The name of the building came from a cult statue of Athena Parthenos housed in the eastern room of the building.
7.1.2. The building was made out of Ivory and gold
7.1.3. was sculptured by the renowned sculptor Phidias
7.1.4. It was dedicated to Athena like most Temples on the Acroplis
