4.1. compound shapes

4.1.1. perimeter of compound : 1. break into simple shapes. 2 find missing sides if at all 3. add all the sides in the boundary

4.2. specific polygons

4.3.1. cuboid

4.3.2. total surface area - we include area of all the 6 surfaces and add it up and lateral surface area- we exclude the top and bottom surface- we add up only 4 surfaces formula for TSA. 2 ( LxH + LxB + BxH) for LSA 2 ( LxH + BxH)

4.3.3. cube

4.3.3.1. TSA- means add up area of all 6 surfaces (squares) 6 x ( lxl) LSA- 4 surfaces= 4 x ( lxl)

4.4. area of compound shapes : 1.break into simple shapes. 2 find out the missing sides 3. find area of individual shapes 4. add all the areas

4.4.1. area of parallelogram: connected to the rectangle ; formula was base x height
