Force and Pressure создатель Mind Map: Force and Pressure

1. Forces

1.1. Forces

1.1.1. A push or pull of an object is known as force.

1.1.2. The S.I unit

1.1.2.1. Newton( N )

1.1.3. It has magnitude and direction.

1.1.4. interaction of 2 objects result in force.

1.1.5. Net Force

1.1.5.1. The effect of force acting on an object is due to the net force acting on it.

1.1.5.1.1. If 2 forces act in the opposite sides of an object the net force is the difference of the forces.

1.1.5.1.2. If forces act in the same direction of an object the net force is the sum of the forces.

1.1.6. Changes in the object

1.1.6.1. Changes the direction of the moving object

1.1.6.2. Changes the shape or size of the object

1.1.6.3. Makes an object move and stops it

1.1.6.4. Change the speed of a moving object, slow down or increase the speed of an object

1.2. Types of Forces

1.2.1. Contact Forces

1.2.1.1. Muscular force

1.2.1.1.1. Resulting due to action of muscles

1.2.1.2. Frictional Force

1.2.1.2.1. Friction is the force that resists motion when the surface of one object comes in contact with the surface of another.

1.2.2. Non-Contact force

1.2.2.1. Magnetic force

1.2.2.1.1. Force exerted by magnet on another magnet without being in contact with it

1.2.2.2. Electrostatic force

1.2.2.2.1. Force exerted by a charged body on another charged or uncharged body

1.2.2.3. Gravitational Force

1.2.2.3.1. Gravitational force acts between any two objects possessing mass.

2. Pressure

2.1. Force acting on a unit area of a surface .

2.2. Pressure = Force/Area

2.3. Differences in Pressure

2.3.1. Increasing the area decreases the pressure

2.3.2. Decreasing the area increases the pressure
