5. reasons to use VARs
5.1. There is NO need to SPECIFY which variable are endogenous or exogenous variables – all are ENDOGENOUS

5.3. There are NO CONTEMPORANEOUS TERMS on the right hand side (RHS) of the equations hence OLS CAN BE USED separately on each equation. The right hand side contain predetermined variables.
