Biomimicry создатель Mind Map: Biomimicry

1. Waste Management is mimicking the way that natural systems reuse all materials. In nature, there's no such thing as garbage, because every molecule goes through multiple configurations in multiple organisms. When a tree falls, a community of organisms breaks down the tree's chemical compounds into other compounds and individual molecules, which are then used in other organisms. Everything is used, and there is no waste.

2.2. Worldwide, cities are learning from nature how to better manage stormwater runoff. A number of features are being employed to slow water down, allow it to sink into soils, where it is cleaned through natural processes. These features vary by site but include green roofs, rain gardens, roadside plantings, rain barrels, bioswales, tree trenches, and porous hard surfaces

4.2. "Nature has already solved the riddle of enabling biological material stability at regular temperatures. Stabilitech's technology adapts some of nature's techniques using biomimicry. We have identified the underlying principle and components necessary for stabilization in a natural setting. By adaptation and experimentation we have replicated this natural phenomena. Our technique produces a compound which, when mixed with vaccines and other biological material, produces a product with levels of stability indistinguishable from frozen samples. The process has been tested on both enveloped and non-enveloped live viruses, notably those which are known to be difficult to stabilize. Results have been exceptional and consistent and have undergone independent testing and validation."
