1. Language
1.1. Students will use blogging in order to share opinions and respond to what they have read. Blogging also gives students an opportunity to respond and comment on the opinions of other students in the class.
2. Every Subject area
2.1. Teachers use a SmartBoard in order to present interactive lessons in all subject areas. Technology is used to enhance the learning. As well, Smart Exchange also has a variety of grade specific and curriculum specific presentations to use in the classroom. They are easy to download and change to meet your students needs.
3. Social Studies
3.1. Students can create a collaborative Wiki about governmental organizations and non-governmental organizations. They could report about the organizations roles, actions that these organizations have taken and assess how effective students think these actions were.
4. Science
4.1. Students will use research skills to compare organisms within plant and animal kingdoms (i.e., compare a fish and a mammal, coniferous and deciduous trees) . Students will have to choose their criteria that they use to compare these organisms.
4.1.1. Technology-- Students will use World fact book, as well as Britannica for schools to gather information. Students can present their work using Smart Ideas.
