2. Cognitive Apprenticeship

2.1. Teacher acts as a model for students.

2.2. Teacher demonstrates to the students how to do something, the student learns from the demonstration.

2.3. The student then shows the teacher what was learned and shows it via return demonstration.

3. Reciprocal Teaching

3.1. Students become the teacher

3.2. Students work in small groups

3.3. 4 Strategies are used: summarizing, question generating, clarifying, and predicting.

3.4. Students take turns being the teacher.

3.5. Teachers role is to nurture and help the students to run their groups effectively.
