Krashen Hypothesis

1. The Input hypothesis

1.1. Humans acquire language in only one way - by understanding messages or by receiving "comprehensible input".

2. The Acquisition-Learning hypothesis

2.1. Adults have two distinctive ways of developing competences in second languages acquisition, that is by using language for real communication learning "knowing about" language.

3. The Monitor hypothesis

3.1. Conscious learning can only be used as a Monitor.

5.1. A mental block, caused by affective factors that prevents input from reaching the language acquisition device.

6. The Natural Order hypothesis

6.1. We acquire the rules of language in a predictable order.
