1.1. 1800s many treaties were passed that forced the Ojibway to live on reservations, which provided more land for non Native settlers (x).
1.2. Clapp Act allowed "adult mixed-blood" Ojibway to sell their land. These people were taken advantage of by non-native people and eventually the land of White Earth Reservation was sold away to non native people (xii).
