1. It's not the quantity, but the frequency that a disease appears in a give region.
2. Pandemic
2.1. Spreads worldwide.
2.1.1. There are currently about 2.006.513 cases, 501.758 recoveries and 128.886 deaths from the virus.
2.1.1.1. In Brazil alone there are about 26.112 cases, 14.026 recoveries and 1.509 deaths.
3. Epidemic
3.1. Outbreak of contagious disease that attacks numerous people at the same time.
4. Endemic
5. SARS-COV-2 is a variation from the coronavirus family, originated in China.
5.1. Is related to the virus that causes SARS.
6. Risk groups
6.1. People with asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure are part of this group.
7. Similarity to other diseases historically.
7.1. Other diseases, sush as the Spanish Flu (which did not appear in Spain), Black Plague and Swine Flu have a great similarity to the COVID-19 experienced today.
7.1.1. The similarities are due to the care taken to prevent each disease, sush as avoiding crowding, not visiting, hygiene and and other things.
7.2. Yet the most lethal epidemic that humanity has ever witnessed was the Spanish Flu, which killed 20 million in just one year.

8.1. Severe coronavirus-2 respiratory syndrome.
9. COVID-19
9.1. Viral infection caused by SARS-COV-2.
10. Quarantine
10.1. Voluntary action taken to prevent the spread of the disease.

12.1. The economic shock caused by the financial crisis of 2008 or 2001, after the september 11 attacks.
12.1.1. The US Department of Commerce reported that retail sales fell 8,7% in march.
