1.3. Teaching independent and team working skills. Teaching students to be a participate and a leader (not always the same role)
1.3.1. Develop routine and structure around team work. Use strategies like Flipped Classroom or Writer and Talker activities. Assigning students different roles at the start can help show the difference in what each role looks like.

2.1. Evaluate information and arguments with a open mind and perspective
2.2. Make connections and identify patterns in chemistry and our environment
2.2.1. Ex. Connecting social justice conversations and noting the pattern of how we treat environmental crisis or global warming. How can we disrupt these trends?
2.3. Engage in meaningful knowledge relate to curriculum and events around the world
2.3.1. Ex. Grade 12 nuclear energy talk about the political and environmental consequences of nuclear energy plants. Connect to local plants and world wide catastrophes.

3.1. Design the culminating project
3.2. Choose your role in an experiment
3.2.1. Assigning roles during a lab experiment such as researcher, builder and data. Given students choice to pick what is their strength.
