1. Education Week
1.1. @EducationWeek provides K-12 news and insights for the educators of today. Consistently I've seen them bring trending topics in education to attention.
1.2. @Edutopia was alongside Education Week after following them. The page discusses what works in education and provides inspiration as well.
1.3. @FixingEducation was a referral follow since they provide a realistic view of education today, as well as some comedic relief.
2. Instructional and Student Engagement Strategies
2.1. @TCM_at_NCTM serves grades PK-5 with ideas, activities and research in math education. With my students being below grade level at 7th and 8th grade, I often have to use #rd - 5th grade fluency skills to reach them and close the knowledge gap.
3. Student-Learning Resources
3.1. @TeachBetterTeam speaks about community in the learning process. They speak on digital resources that teachers can use to forge strong bonds with students and their learning.
4. The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (Educational Leadership)
4.1. @ASCD they have a focus on learning trends, classroom engagement ideas, and instructional strategies.
4.2. @ELmagazine is ASCD's flagship magazine. They discuss learning, teaching, and leading along with In-Service.
5. Technology In the Classroom
5.1. @NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) provides classroom resources that improve teaching and learning, along with the exchange of math ideas.
5.2. @MathEDLeaders (NCSM) focuses on discussing the next steps in math moving-forward by interacting with other educational leaders.
5.3. Curriculum resources, strategies, and challenging math problems are listed with @OpenMiddle using their digital resources and math problems.
6. National Council for the Social Studies
6.1. @NCSSnetwork is dedicated to the social studies education solely. SocialStudies.org is listed as a resource for this 2nd content-area that I teach.
6.2. Live events held for the strategy and implementation of technology for learning the social studies curriculum.
6.3. Provides historic background on key events in history, as well as the basis of historic events as they relate to today's students.
