1. Advantages

1.1. Increase the quality

1.1.1. Machines normally don't make human mistakes so the quality is a lot higher

1.2. easier, faster and more effective communication

1.2.1. Communication becomes easier because it allows us to stay in contact anywhere and any time

1.3. better, more efficient manufacturing techniques.

1.3.1. The machine way of manufacturing are more streamlined hence making the techniques more efficient than normal employees are able to.

2. types of technology

2.1. Automation: Automation describes a wide range of technologies that reduce human intervention in processes. Example: Mitsubishi uses Automation to reduce manual work and increase performance

2.2. Mechanisation: Mechanization is the process of changing from working largely by hand or with animals to doing that work with machinery. Example: farmers uses machines like tractors and trucks to finish work quicker

2.3. Computer aided design (CAD) is the use of computer software to design new products in 3D. This enables businesses to visualise new designs in a variety of materials and send images around the world for collaboration and consultation.

2.4. Computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) is the manufacturing approach of using computers to control entire production process. Example: factories uses CIM to increases the speed of the manufacturing process and uses sensors and control processes to automate the manufacturing process.

2.5. Electronic point of sale (EPOS) are computer systems that are used by retailers to allow the customer to pay for goods. example: EPOS affords owners and managers more insight into their business, allowing them to make actionable changes to increase revenue and cut costs

2.6. Electronic funds transfer point of sale (EFTPOS) is an electronic method of paying for goods exactly where you purchase them. This can be done through: - debit card - credit card - contactless - app payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay example : EFTPOS available on all ATM or debit cards issued banks. EFTPOS is a domestic payments network that facilitates the transfer of funds electronically when debit or some credit payments cards are used at the point-of-sale.

3. Disadvantages

3.1. Unemployment increase

3.1.1. Employee are now not as needed because the machine does alot of the work

3.1.2. The quality of work from employees aren't good as machine and also the product produced by employees are not as fast

3.2. Contribution to environment issues

3.2.1. Global warming

3.2.1.1. various fuel sources such as gasses and chemicals required to run the machines

3.2.1.2. a more efficient production line can increase overall production amount - leading to more waste and other emissions.

3.3. Expensive machines

3.3.1. Since the machines are very expensive so if the product from the company doesn't sell well then the company will have a great lost
