2. Most Important

2.1. For me, the most important of the five purposes of assessing students is the first one, "Assessments can be utilized to guide and inform students and teachers during the teaching-learning process," because I believe that an effective student assessment accumulates evidence of student learning that informs teachers' instructional strategies. It informs teachers about what their students know and can do. Hence, teachers can easily identify what students misinterpret and where the misconceptions are to plan effective instruction. You see, a solid assessment plan serves as a guide for students as well as assists teachers construct the next instructional steps. Also, students must have access to the assessment on all occasions so that they can utilize it to inform and steer their learning.

3. Best Example

3.1. Role play is one example of an assessment that is more appropriate in a 21st-century classroom. In addition to being a learning activity, role-playing can also be used as an assessment. You see, students' viewpoints on the characters' roles, as well as their engagement and participation in the role play, can be assessed by teachers via role play. In fact, it inspires kids to play out the roles in ways that show off their originality and ingenuity. Additionally, it requires teamwork because students must cooperate and communicate with one another as they practice and prepare for role play. As students must effectively communicate, embrace their role duties, and relate to others during the simulation, this can improve interpersonal relationships and social interactions among the members of the team. Finally, while role-play enables students to examine the world and solve problems from a range of viewpoints, it can also alter how they perceive it. Hence, it is one example of an assessment that is more appropriate in a 21st-century classroom.
