2. Input Devices: Keyboards, Mouse, Scanner Benefits: Keyboard allow you to type documents in a word processing software. A mouse allows you to point and click for easier input of certain information. Scanners allow you to copy document and pictures into your computer. All of these devices allow you to enter information into the computer in a very easy way. You have to learn how to type on the keyboard for the best benefit of a word processing software like MS Word created by Microsoft. Challenges: Sometimes these devices do not work and you have to go about entering the information with other devices. Also you have to learn how to use them correctly. Your school has to have a budget in order for you to incorporate these devices into the classroom. Output Devices: Printer, Monitor, Projector Benefit: Printers allows you to create a hard copy of the information in the computer. Monitors and projectors allow a soft copy that will display on a “screens”. Challenges: learning how to use them can be a challenge. Also if they do not work, you have to troubleshoot the problem. Your school usually has to have a budget for you to be able to incorporate these devices into the classroom. You have to learn how to hook up a projector to your computer and/or laptop for the display on a wall or large screen.
