2. New Definition
2.1. Technology is difficult to define simply because there are so many ways in which each individual interpret it.
2.2. Basically, it is the use of science and expertise to carry out an idea which is intended to satisfy a human's need or want; with the goal of revolutionizing or optimizing the way humans accomplish a specific work.
2.2.1. According to Dyer (2021), technology is not only the hardware such as cellphones and laptops.
2.2.2. Technology is the mechanism through which we apply our knowledge of the natural world to practical challenges. It is a mix of "hardware" (structures, machinery, and equipment) and "software" (skills, knowledge, and experiences combined with appropriate organisational and institutional arrangements) (Li-Hua, 2007).

5. Why do we need technologies?
5.1. To keep improving the quality of our lives by making everyday activities simpler for us to accomplish.
5.2. Imagine a world without technology as another approach to consider what technology is and what it implies (Kelly, 2010).
5.2.1. We as a species would not survive very long if we were to delete every single piece of technology currently in use, including everything from scrapers to fabric to blades (Kelly, 2010).
