Planning for Student Engagement

1. Integrating the Arts

1.1. This is very important for students so they have the ability to succeed by being themselves, they will feel the work is more important and WANT to do it.

2. Presentation and Performance

2.1. While I find it important, it shouldn't be done all the time. Some students have a really hard time with speaking in front of others, thus it might hinder their WANT to learn.

3. Integrating Technology

3.1. LOVE IT! I'm currently creating blog with my students, and they're loving it. It really makes them excited that they get to share their information.

4. Authentic Learning

4.1. Great idea! It will cut down greatly on "What does this have to do with me?"

5. Inquiry

5.1. Can be chaotic, but helps students take more interest.

6. Collaboration

6.1. Good, and needed. You can't do everything on your own, most teachers believe they have to re-create the wheel, and collaborating or creating a lesson together could be beneficial to not only the students but to yourself.
