Technology?

1. How have my ideas changed?

1.1. After reading this module, my main ideas about technology have changed. Now I think technology can be anything that helps to make our lives easier and more convenient. Before I think technology is devices and apps like computers and phones that we use in our daily life. But now I understand that it could be anything like a pen and even a tire (Tuck, 2019). One article by John Dyer that breaks down technology into different parts such as hardware, manufacturing, methodology, and Social usage helps me to develop better understanding of Technology ( Dyer, 2009).

2. Why do we need new technologies?

2.1. I think we really needs new technologies to make our life easier and more convenient. To add more comfort in our life we really needs new technologies. From my point of view the health sector is the biggest sector where we really need new technology to find better cures for diseases like cancer and heart diseases etc. For continues improvement advancement in technology is a must and the new technologies should be introduced in all sectors such as education, Infrastructure and agriculture.

3. What technology is now

3.1. I think technology is an invention that made by humans that made our life easier and more convenient (Nusys, 2019). Human’s use of technology involves not only machines (e.g., computer hardware) and instruments, but also includes structured relations with other humans, machines, and the environment. In short, technology is more than a collection of machines and devices (Isman, 2012).

3.2. Technology could be a process and any items like a pen that helps us to write down our thoughts (Tuck,2019). As a piece of hardware (or an “artifact” for the anthropologist or “cultural good” for the sociologist), “technology” could be a clock, a shovel, a laptop, a belt, a thermometer, a can of root beer, a canteen, a tank, or a fake duck decoy. These are basically things do not occur “naturally” (Dyer, 2009)

4. What technology was before

4.1. For me technology was any gadgets or app that is designed by humas like mobile phones, laptops, apps etc. I was thinking it is changed or upgraded in 1-3 years by adding a some new feature and changing its design for our comfort and needs.
