2.1.1. What requirements do I need?
2.1.1.1. Academic Requirements
2.1.1.1.1. This program has open entry and is available to New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents aged 16 to 24 years old through the Youth Guarantee Scheme. English language requirements apply.
2.1.1.2. English Requirements
2.1.1.2.1. If English is not your first language, you need to provide evidence of your English proficiency, such as a test result from an accepted qualification; New Zealand citizens or permanent residents should complete an Admission and Enrolment form for a free assessment from Ara, while international applicants must book an IELTS or other accepted test, ensuring that the scores are from a single report and valid for two years; additionally, if you have achieved NCEA Level 3 University Entrance, an overall IELTS score of 5.0 with no individual band lower than 5.0 is required.

2.1.2.1. The Certificate (Level 3, 120 credits) may be available for Study Visa, allows dual enrolment, and could be eligible for Studylink and Fees Free, with additional equipment/fees advised upon enrolment.

3.4. What They Offer
3.4.1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Hairdresser, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service. NZ Certificate in Hairdressing (or equivalent) and a current practising certificate. Excellent technical skills in cutting, colouring, and styling hair across a range of hair types.
