THE TAJ MAHAL
作者:Alvin Ang

1. How this structure support loads?
1.1. This structure had to be made strong to resist wind and other dynamic loads.
1.2. This structure known as the Taj Mahal suports loads that can be put in
1.3. It supports people inside it
1.4. The towers from the left and right have the same strutral frame on the building
1.5. This structure also uses an arch for some extra support
1.6. The building also seems to have a couple towers around the structure for a rorm.
2. Type of structure
2.1. The Taj Mahal is a frame structure.
2.1.1. The many beams and posts on the inside make it a frame structure. They help support it.
2.2. Some parts of the structure is made of marble
2.3. Has lots of dome shaped parts
3. how do internal forces affect this structure?
3.1. Because of gravity, the Taj Mahal May experience compression.Since gravity is a push force that presses down on all objects, the Taj Mahal would have to resist this force. It should be strong enough to resist compression.
3.2. Other external forces such as wind and rain can cause the structure to experience shear. For example, wind can weaken the structure by pushing against the walls of the Taj Mahal, which can potentially cause it to snap and fall apart in the future.
4. How do external forces affect this structure?
4.1. Gravity is an external force that affects this structure
4.1.1. It compresses it
4.2. Wind(dynamic force)
4.2.1. The magnitude, plane of application, and point of application varies.
