What is My Style

1. My Prefered Method of Learning:

1.1. I'm a visual learner. This means that I learn best by studying material such as charts, graphs, books, posters, etc.

2. Characteristics of a Visual Learner

2.1. 1. Visual learners tend to be neat and organized.

2.2. 2. A common characteristic of a visual learner is that they take lots of notes.

2.3. 3. Often prefer working alone rather then in groups.

3. Visual Learners & Online School

3.1. Two strategies a visual learner can apply towards online school are the capability of understanding visual aids and being able to work alone. While attending online school students are exposed to many visual resources such as online books, and videos. For a visual learner it is easier to read and take notes, as opposed to a kinesthetic learner who isn't able to do as much hands on as they would like. Being able to work alone is another strength that can be applied to online learning. We aren't exposed to many group project since most peers are geographically separated. This is a benefit for a visual learner because they tend to work better alone.

4. Conclusion

4.1. Now that I know my strength and weaknesses in my learning style, I will apply them in my life to be successful. I will focus my studying around visual aids. Its easier for me to focus on graphs, charts, etc. so I will make sure to concentrate on them. My weakest was auditory. Since this is my weakness I will try to avoid the video lectures and focus on the books. I will retain more information by reading and taking notes, then I would from watching a video. I will continue to apply my strengths to my learning style.
