Multiplying Double-Digit Numbers 作者: Mind Map: Multiplying Double-Digit Numbers

1. 1. Write down one number on top of the other so they line up.

2. 2. Write down the multiplication sign and equals sign.

3. 3. Multiply the numbers in the ones place. Write this value below the equal sign. If it is a double digit number (anything greater than 9) write the tens place value of the number above the tens place.

4. 4. Multiply the ones place of the bottom number by the 'tens' place of the second number. Don't forget to add the number above the tens place if there is one.

5. 5. Multiply the tens place of the bottom number by the ones place of the top number and write it below the the value we just found (we will add these together later). Also place the second digit above the tens place in there is a double-digit.

6. 6. Now multiply both of the numbers in the tens placeholder together. Add the number on top if the previous number was a double digit.

7. 7. Final Step: Add the two numbers we found together to get our total answer!
