1. Islam

1.1. Muslims believe that all human life is precious , a sacred gift from allah . Anyone who carries out abortion will suffer in the next life

1.1.1. No severer of womb-relationship ties will ever enter paradise

1.2. Most muslims believe that life begins at conception and so an abortion is murder

1.3. Other Muslims think that the Foetus is 'ensouled' at 120 days , then it is regarded as a person. Before that time the mother has more rights the foetus but after ensoulment the child and mother have equal rights

1.4. 'You shall not kill your children for fear of want . We will provide for them and for you. To kill them is grievous sin

2. Christianity

2.1. All Christians believe in the sanctity of life. They believe that Children are created in the image of God.

2.2. Abortion is deliberate killing and breaks the commandment : "you shall not murder

2.3. 'Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception , abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes' - Gaudium et Spes 51

2.4. Before birth , god has given every person a purpose in life

2.4.1. You shall not kill an unborn child, or murder a newborn infant - Didache

2.5. Some christians accept abortion under certain circumstances . Many methodists and Anglicans think that sometimes abortion may be the lesser of two evils, such as in the case of rape or risk to the mothers life

2.6. Some Christians also believe abortion is acceptable if it is carried out for a justified reason before the baby is 24 weeks old

2.7. Usually they would accept abortion for cases of risk to the mothers life, severe disablilty , rape or poverty
