1. Electric Field

1.1. Region in which an electric charge experiences a force

1.2. Electric field line is the path a positive charge would take if it is free to move.

1.3. Rules of Drawing

1.3.1. Lines begin from positive charges and end on negative charges

1.3.2. Number of lines drawn leaving or ending must be proportional to the magnitude of charge.

1.3.3. No two field lines can cross each other

2. Law Of Electrostatics

2.1. Two types of charges: positive and negative

2.1.1. Positively charged: Glass (rubbed with silk) and Perspex (rubbed with wool)

2.1.2. Negatively charged: Amber and rubber (rubbed with fur) and Polythene (rubbed with wool)

2.2. Like charges repel and unlike charges attract.
