1. Input devices allow the user to manipulate the computer. Classroom challenges include having one device per student. Input devices are generally less noisy than output devices which is beneficial in classrooms.

1.1. Keyboards allow students to type information into the computer. Applications for learning include increasing the students words per minute when typing.

2. Output device classroom challenges include multiple students out of desk at same time which could cause a disturbance. Benefits include being able to have a copy of work to take with the student.

2.1. floppy discs allow students to take their computer work with them when they leave. Application for learning include being able to be at their home working and still getting help with a problem by emailing their work to another.
