3.3. Undermined by two factors- 1.Rejected at both the theoretical and the pedagogical level. 2.Microcomputer allowed a whole new range of possibilities.

4.1. -Focus more on using forms. -Implicit. -Generate original utterances. -Flexible of responses.

4.2. COMPUTER AS TUTOR-Ex: Paced reading, text reconstruction,language games.

4.3. COMPUTER AS STIMULUS-Ex: Stimulate student discussion, writing and critical thinking.

4.4. COMPUTER AS TOOL-Ex: Word processors,spelling and grammar checkers.

4.5. Critiques: No longer satisfied with teaching compartmentalized skills or structures.
