Athena was daughter of Zeus. Athena was the goddess of wisdom, war, the arts , industry, justice and skill. Since her mother Metis got swallowed by Zeus because of him fearing that she would bear a son mightier than him she began to make a robe and helmet.. The Hammering of the helmet caused Zeus a great amount of pain. Hephaestus skillfully ran to his father and split his skull open. Athena emerged out, fully grown and wearing her mother’s robe and helmet. She is the virgin mother of Erichthnonius. Well Zeus is her father and Poseidon is her uncle.
