TYPES OF ENERGIES by Mind Map: TYPES OF ENERGIES

1. Renewable energy

1.1. Energy that uses the inexhaustible resources of nature, such as biomass, solar radiation or wind.

1.1.1. TYPES

1.1.1.1. Solar energy, solar radiation can be used to produce electricity or heat.

1.1.1.2. Hydraulic energy, if the water retained in reservoirs or swamps at high altitudes is dropped to a lower level, this energy is converted into kinetic energy and, later, through a hydroelectric power station, is transformed into electricity.

1.1.1.3. Energy from the sea, the sea can also be used as an energy source to produce electricity.

1.1.1.4. Wind power, it is the kinetic energy contained in the air masses in the atmosphere.

1.1.1.5. Biomass, organic matter can also be used as an energy source.

1.1.1.6. Geothermal, beneath the Earth's surface there is a large volume of energy in the form of heat that can be used to produce electrical energy

2. Non-Renewable energy

2.1. Non-renewable energy refers to those energy sources that are found in nature in a limited quantity and once consumed in their entirety, cannot be substituted, since there is no viable production or extraction system.

2.1.1. TYPES

2.1.1.1. Nuclear energy, it is obtained by bombarding, with neutrons at high speed, the atoms of certain substances.

2.1.1.2. Charcoal, rock formed by carbon and other substances.

2.1.1.3. Natural gas, this fossil energy source consists of a mixture of hydrocarbons.

2.1.1.4. The oil, this green, yellow, brown or black viscous liquid is made up of different hydrocarbons.
