Stephen Hawking
ARNOLD STEVEN SOSA MORALESにより
1. He manages to carry out all these life challenges with a voice synthesizer with which composed phrases and words. The deterioration of his condition led him to only be able to communicate at the rate of one word per minute. In this regard, in late 2011, it requested technical assistance from the Intel company to improve the word prediction system.
2. Challenges
2.1. Despite having amyotrophic lateral sclerosis disease, he managed to get married twice.
2.2. He raised his three children despite being completely immobile and losing his speech after throat surgery.
2.3. For more than 50 years, he faced the prospect of premature death from his disease. He wasn’t afraid to die, but neither was he in a hurry to say that he had much to discover.
3. How to overcome them?
4. In addition, he coped with the disease in a very positive way, he used to say that life would be tragic if it were not funny and that humans needs an intellectual challenge.
5. Achievement
5.1. He was the first scientist who tried to unify Einstein's Theory of General Relativity with the laws of Quantum Physics.
5.2. Hawking developed the main and most pioneering: the formula for the temperature of a black hole.
5.3. Defied life expectancy predictions for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis from diagnosis at age 21 to death at 76.
5.4. He created the imaginary time theory.
