1. Students and families choose our school
1.1. fully enrolled in all grades
1.2. Families that start at Vista have all students finish at Vista
1.3. Many students that have been at KIPP for a long time didn't know why they chose KIPP
1.3.1. or chose it just for a fresh start
1.4. "It feels like teachers want the best for us! They want us to try our best and do our best."
2. i can be myself at kipp
2.1. Students don't feel judged by their peers
2.2. I feel safe at school
2.3. Students would like more activities to be involved in.
3. Need for social emotional support
4. Culture
4.1. High achieving students feel there are many distractions to learning
4.2. honor dollars do not hold value
4.3. "kids do whatever they want at school"
4.4. some adults respected, other's not
4.5. smaller school= teachers in the know. better for parent relationships
4.6. Lots of griping about our dress code
4.7. enjoys teacher relationships
5. Teachers want us to be great people
5.1. believe in our potential
5.2. teachers care more at KIPP than at other schools
5.3. Teachers show they care about the students success, Teachers don't give up on us
5.4. The teachers are identified as something students would never change
5.5. The teachers are there to help us grow and push us to do the right thing
5.5.1. No mistakes we just get a different way of learn
