The AAPI (Adult Adolescent Parenting Inventory) mentioned earlier (see the Predictive Validity Evidence notes) is based on five parenting constructs which are predictors of known risk factors for child abuse and neglect as well as substance abuse. This type of test allows the instructor to determine areas of strength and weakness based on the constructs.
