2.1.1.1. Vulnerability: what does it mean to be show vulnerability as a leader (examples)

2.1.1.1.1. Explore difference between empathy, authenticity and vulnerability

2.2. Leadership Challenge:

2.2.1. Self-awareness exercise: following prompts, spend 2-5 minutes per day reflecting on what went well, what I am grateful for, etc.

3. Session 3: Connecting and Finding Solutions

3.1. Active listening: how to listen to understand, not just respond

3.2. Mindsets - fixed, growth and flexible

3.3.1. Reflection exercise: write about a situation where you disagreed with someone's perspective or you made an incorrect assumption - how would you handle the situation differently?

4. Session 4: Working with others - collaboration and teams

4.1. How groups can effectively collaborate

4.1.1. Finding a common purpose and building teams

4.2. Impact of key topical issues centered on diversity and inclusivity, such as race and racism, impacting Indigenous and people of colour; relationship to culture

4.3. Leading in a team; guiding others

5. Session 5: Creating Change

5.1. How to create change in ever- changing times and diverse environments

5.1.1. Tackling uncertainty; explore personal motivations

5.2. Exploring power and social influence

5.3. Identifying opportunities for change: linking to own ability to encourage change - link to citizenship on campus

5.3.1. Consider opportunities for applying leadership/what they have learned either @ SFU or in their community

5.3.1.1. Consider the impact people have to inspire others and how as individuals students can harness the power of their passions to influence positive change in their communities

5.4. Using your voice to express your thoughts and ideas: participating in conversations

5.5. Leadership Challenge:

5.5.1. To identify where they wish to volunteer, influence change, etc. and develop presentation for next class
