5. How did you attract/address your audience?

1. • The main feature we have used to attract our audience, is the choice of female actors, it is a new and different idea from a lot of action adventure films, so they may like the change. Also we had teenage characters in a real college, using real facilities, so that we made as realistic as possible for the audience to relate to.

2. • The two films that gave us the ideas for our storyline are ‘The Goonies’ and ‘National Treasure’. Both of these are very famous films so we knew that they were good ones to follow. ‘The Goonies’ had roughly the same target audience as ours, so we based a lot of our props and costumes from this but because it is an old film, we updated it a little. In ‘National Treasure’ we liked the use of camera work, for example they used lots of close ups and different camera angles, so we incorporated this idea into our opening sequence so that this would draw the audience in to paying attention and thinking about what is going on.

3. • We decided to hand make props like a treasure map so it looks much more realistic than one just printed off the internet. We also used an old lantern to capture theme of an adventure and help the audience figure out the genre easier.
