6. How have things Changed?

6.1. Over the past years, technology has made things easier, such as jobs or even technology itself. Technology is basically progression, things get more advanced that they already were.

6.1.1. Telephones turned into smart phones

6.1.2. Chalk boards turned into smart boards

6.1.3. Pencil Sharpeners were invented to make the use of pencils easier

7. Defining Technology

7.1. manner of accomplishing a task

7.2. practical application of knowledge

8. Technology is the study and transformation of techniques, tools, and machines created by humans. Technology allows humans to study and evolve the physical elements that are present in their lives

9. What I think it is now

9.4. We are technology

9.4.1. Technology represents the combination of human understanding of natural laws and phenomena accumulated since ancient times to make things that fulfil our needs and desires or that perform certain functions (Karatsu, 1990)

9.4.1.1. Human’s use of technology involves not only machines (e.g., computer hardware) and instruments, but also includes structured relations with other humans, machines, and the environment. In short, technology is more than a collection of machines and devices.

9.4.2. people must be included in the definition: We must focus on the relationships between the technologies and the humans who use, design, make, or modify them

9.4.2.1. “a creativity process involving human ingenuity.” - Thomas Hughes, 2004

10. How I came up with my conclusion

11. Conclusion

11.1. Technology is basically anything created by humans. Technology has changed a lot of things in the human environment and made life easier. Anything that’s natural, is basically made by science, but technology on the other hand is what humans created by themselves. As Alan Curtis Kay said, “Technology is anything that wasn’t around when you were born”

11.1.1. My view on the meaning of technology has changed, and although it’s not much different from my own response, it is definitely surprising and it changed my perspective on it
