Remember The Titans Reflection (PhysEd)
All year long in P.E. everybody has been faced with many challenges, whether it was to push themselves to exercise and work out, or to try a new sport with friends and compete with teams. The movie Remember The Titans shows people what cultural and racial diversity can do to affect society for everyone. The movie was about a racially diverse football team with an african american coach in the 1970’s. Many challenges were faced between the teammates. The reflection was to help students understand that whether we’re all of different minorities or race, that we could work together in order to achieve something we couldn’t single handedly. The core standard this assignment could relate to would be core standard 2, which deals with summarizing and understanding information from content, and to comprehend it all. I feel that I did a fairly well job comprehending and understanding the topic at hand and how i could use that to better myself.
