Communication are a key part in relationship. are If we can influence other people to interact with us, then we have achieved a success in interpersonal relationships. 3. Professional success: Ability to convey our messages in a professional manner.

2. Nature of Interpersonal Communication.:

2.1. 1. Involves Interdependent individuals -Happens between people that are connected with each other. -The connection affects other people 2. Inherently relational -the Interpersonal Communication happens in a relationship and defines the relationship -The way one interacts with another in a relationship will also influence the relationship 3. Exist on continuum -The intensity of interaction greatly affects the relationship. -More informations are revealed when the intensity is deeper and more meaningful

2.2. 4. Involves Verbal and Nonverbal Messages: Verbal and Nonverbal Messages plays an important part with on another and can give meaning to another person. 5. Takes Place in Varied Forms: Can Happen through a Media or directly Face to Face 6. Involves Choices: We will decide what we say and how we handle an interaction

Source-Receiver: Parties involved inthe interaction Messages: Verbal/Nonverbal Signals sent and decoded Channels: Media for converying message Noise: Interferences in the communication process Context: Various environments (Psychological, Sociological, Temporal) in which the communications take place Ethics: Moral Aspects in Communicating

4. Definition: Interaction between 2 or more people, Verbal or non verbal, in which they are interdependent

5. -Verbal: conveying a message orally. -Nonverbal: Conveying messages with body language, such as expression or hand gestures.

Principles: -Purposeful: Communication serves a variety of Purposes, such as learning, influencing. -Transactional: Always changing, interdependent, Depends on context, each parties take turns being the listener and speaker -Package of Signals: Verbal/nonverbal messages work together to convey meaning, though not always the case -Process of Adjustment: Parties will only be at the same understanding if they use the same signals -Involves Content and Dimensions: Meaning can be something external or internal to the parties -Ambigous: Always a potential for a message to be ambigous -Punctuated: Interactions are limited to Causes and Effects -Inevitable, Irreversible, Unrepeatable: Messages are always sent, cannot be uncommunicated, and each one is unique
