1. Why do we need new technology?
1.1. The world is moving fast, and adapting to these changes is the goal for all designers to create new technology. Designers live more part of time thinking about the future and designing products for future persons to use. Be aware of the new technology is vital for all people to adapt and live better. Also, it is essential for getting a job. Think about our parents or grandparents; they had to adapt to these technologies to continue working at their jobs. It is like a machine that never stops. If you decide not to go with the flow, you may be left behind by the others, making it hard to get another job.

3.2. I did not though that simple or oldest products like a pen, for example, were technology.
4. What I think now
4.1. After watch and read the references, my perception of technology changes. For Li-Hua, knowing "what is technology?" depends on the person's point of view. "To a scientist, technology is the end product of one's research.", for a business executive, "is the most important, yet least understood company asset.". Technology is everywhere that we use to live our daily lives. For example, if a person wants to go from point A to B: which transport he/she will choose to go? A car, bus, train, bike, or walking? They all use technology to work, even the shoe that the person needs to walk.

4.1.3.1. This commercial shows how technology could bring people together. The commercial starts showing a family reunion on Christmas evening at the grandfather's house. First, the two children are engaged with the iPad but not interacting with their families. At this time, we could think that some technologies separate people from real interactions. In the end, we saw that the children were making a video with all the family members together, including the grandmother, who is not there anymore. Finally, technology was used to bring everyone together.
