2.3.1. france suffered the most damage to land, people, industry and self confidence.
2.3.2. The French President wanted Germany to be broken up into smaller states but he knew that the other leaders wouldn't agree
2.3.3. he wanted to demolish germany and weaken it as much as possible.

3.2.1. germany had to pay 6.6 billion~pounds of reparation bills to the allies for the damge caused by the war
3.2.2. in 1929 the terms of the payment had been changed if not germany would be paying this bill until 1984.

3.3.1. the army was limited to 100.000 men
3.3.2. conscription was banned soldiers had to be volunteers
3.3.3. germany was not allowed any aircrafts or submarines
3.3.4. the navy was limited to 6 battle ships
3.3.5. the rhineland was demilitarised
3.4. territories and colonies
3.4.1. germanies over seas empire was taken away
3.4.2. germany was banned from joining together with Austria
