1. Evenness

1.1. Is the author biased in the discussion?

1.1.1. If he is does he state that he is biased?

1.2. Does the author give other points of view besides his/her own?

2. coverage

2.1. Does it completely cover the topic?

2.2. Is the information relevant?

2.3. Is the information new ( information changes over time)?

3. Timeliness

3.1. Look at the date published.

3.1.1. Is it newer?

3.1.2. Is it older?

3.2. Does your topic require a recent article?

4. If you can answer yes to most of these questions.

4.1. Then you have a real site

4.2. the information on the site is reliable

4.3. The site is legitimate.

5. Sources

5.1. Does the author document his/her sources?

5.2. Does the author include a bibliography of some kind?

5.3. Does the author include citations?

6. Authority

6.1. Who wrote the piece?

6.2. Do they have expertise in that field?

6.3. Have they written more on the topic?

6.4. Can you trace the author?

6.5. Can you trace the publisher?

7. Purpose

7.1. Is it unclear?

7.2. Why was it written?

7.3. Is it wanting to sell you something?
